Consanguinamory

Most US states still have laws against consensual incest (consanguinamory), and in most of them, people do continue to be prosecuted for simply loving each other. Laws against gay sex have been struck down by the Supreme Court. So, gay sex is legal nationwide, consanguinamory isn't.

Consanguinamory (consensual adult incest) is not a crime in the US states of New Jersey and Rhode Island and there has been no problem as a result.

"Consanguinamory," is Shy's term for incestuous relationships, which she says should be legalized and recognized as "marriage."

Their founders call themselves advocates and use the word "consanguinamory" to name what they argue is a sexual orientation. They're very up-front about their goal. They want to normalize what they call "consensual" incest and even speak as if their plight were the same as that of other groups who have historically been marginalized for their sexual identity. One day they'll have a float at Pride, or at least they deserve one. They write as if they were sexual minorities who need law and culture changes to protect their marginalized desire, and in forums members adapt language from LGBTQ activism: think "consang-positive," "love is love," and "equal rights".
