Horseable

Agriculture does not require chariots to the degree of cattle nomadism, moreover fields, pastures, or springs are better defensible on horseback in an area too hilly and rugged, horseable perhaps, but without chariots.

Now, about bikers, hikers, and horsers: (oh hell - I can't shut up :) / The really tought^([sic]) hiking trails are unbikable. Most hiking trails are bikeable. Some are even horseable.

A stable at the Rath Lake, South Karanas zone would rent you a horse. You could use this horse to go ANYWHERE in ALL the Karanas. When you leave the Karanas the horse returns to stable. / This could be expanded in many ways... More stables... More Horseable areas, like the Commonlands for example.

I've seen what you are alluding to. I call it trail sanitization. / No matter what you call it, it sucks when perectly^([sic]) rideable/hikeable/horseable trails are pummeled into mediocrity because a segment of the user community can't handle them.

Is there any horseable water around--lake, pond, stream? If so, maybe you can work something wet out. You could also build an equine swimming pool, but probably not at the same time as paying for grad school ;-).

Thanks for sharing the info. We are actually (finally!) on our way to eastern TN and will be property hunting with a vengeance in the Knox/Oak Ridge/Kingston areas. If you know of some way cool horseable/tillable property that might come on the market for less than a half mil, feel free to pass the word.
