Intermitten

After KGKO established the Dallas studio, representatives of the A. H. Belo Corp. approached the licensee of Station KGKO with a proposal to purchase a one-half interest in KGKO Broadcasting Co. for the purpose of operating KGKO in a manner similar to Stations WFAA-WBAP which were then operating with a single transmitter originating their broadcasts in intermitten periods 50 percent of the time from the WBAP studios in Fort Worth, and 50 percent of the time from the WFAA studios in Dallas. The proposal was accepted, and with the consent of the Commission on July 24, 1940, one-half control of KGKO was transferred to the Belo interests. Thereupon the separate KGKO studios in Fort Worth and Dallas were abandoned and KGKO has continuously since that time originated its broadcasts one-half the time from the WFAA studios in Dallas and one-half the time from the WBAP studios in Fort Worth, dovetailing with the intermitten times those studios are not in use by WFAA-WBAP.

Despite these lower annual NO₂ levels, the population living in the community with the previously high annual average exposure to NO₂ continued to experience intermitten short-term exposure to NO₂ as measured by the 90th percentile of daily hourly NO₂ concentrations. ¶ This set of circumstances provided the opportunity to assess whether or not individuals experiencing a decrease in anual average exposure ot NO₂ levels but still exposed to intermitten high levels of NO₂ would continue to experience significant adverse health effects.

In brilliant flashes of intermitten illumination I see decades sprouting into centuries and centuries becoming eons and epochs.
