Orthonymous

I find his orthonymous works even more interesting than his pseudonymous works.

The story goes that orthonymous Pessoa became a poet after encountering Caeiro and hearing him recite from The Keeper of Sheep.

Text fragments travel, cruise, or circulate among the three 1960s novels ignoring the boundaries between published and unpublished works, between pseudonymous and orthonymous authorship, and between genres.

Ironically, as he appeared in the British marketplace with his first orthonymous publication, Epistles, Odes, and Other Poems (1806), the reprinting of its contents in the United States began to reflect the strategic manipulations and disavowals that enriched the authorial status of his first two books.
