Psybient

Indeed, by the early 2000s, the music and cultures of psytrance (from psybient to darkpsy) was becoming entheogenically liminalised, a popular state of affairs from Europe to Israel, America to Australia and Brazil to South Africa.

Psybient artists include Shpongle, Entheogenic (2), Evan Bluetech, Yaniv Shulman, Kickbong, and some of the works of Younger Brother.

Shpongle was formed in 1996 and has been described by Posford as “like nothing you’ve ever heard before.” They have been noted for pioneering the “psybient” genre, which combines world music, such as Ram’s infamous flute, with synth-based electronic mixing, making a sound that has been a strong influence for so many groups since Shpongle’s inception.

The worldwide annual psychedelic festival for yoga, music, dance and nature lovers is again hosted lecturers, coaches, psychologists and healers along with 130 yoga workshops, seances and lectures, as well as a Psybient music festival with over 140 music artists and DJs performing on three stages.
