Spaghettery

In place of the rotisseries, spaghetteries, cafeterias, coffee potteries and what-nottaries that now cater to the inner man, the oyster house was the great middle-class refectory.

We have met up with cats in Greek coffee houses, Negro cellar dives of the Hill, spaghetteries and the improvised cafes of Grant street’s “Little Hungary.”

An east-end spaghettery is still patching the scars from a New Year’s Eve riot that lasted two hours.

The best place for you single gals to head is the popular Da Meo Patacca restaurant. Located in the Piazza Dei Mercanti, this is one of the swingingest spaghetteries in all of Rome.

Anyway, I had this hankering for some spaghetti the other night and since I’ve visited just about all of the spaghetteries in town, and out of town, I thought I’d have a go at the newest one.
